Oscar Awards 2018: Complete List Of Winners


The Academy presented 90th annual Academy Awards on 4th March 2018, popularly known as the Oscar Award this year to honour the best films of 2017. This year’s Oscar race was marked by a wide-open Best Picture race. And as evidenced by the variety in winners in those major awards, there was no sweep.
The 90th Annual Academy Awards (also known as Oscar Awards) were held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the USA.
·         The Shape of Water won the top prize of the night - Best Picture. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony for the second year in a row.
·         He has become the first host since Billy Crystal to do.

Newton' is India's official entry for Oscars 2018

Indians who won Oscars

  • Bhanu Athaiya won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for her work in the film Gandhi (1982) along with John Mollo. 
  • Satyajit Ray was awarded Oscar in 1992 for Lifetime Achievement. 
  • AR Rahman and Gulzar won an Oscar for Best Original Song ('Jai Ho') for the film Slumdog Millionaire. Rahman won once again for Best Original Score for Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. 
  • Resul Pookutty received an Oscar for his work in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire
