1. Uttarakhand has marked a significant milestone in India’s legislative history by becoming the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).[UCC-Article-44]

2. The Lok Sabha passed the Finance Bill, 2024 by voice vote recently. The House also approved the Appropriation Bill authorising the government to meet expenses for four months in the next financial year.[Finance Bill-Article 110 and 117 of the Indian Constitution]

3. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate a yearlong pan India campaign 'Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman'.[vice president- article-630to 71]

4. The Indian Navy commissioned its latest survey vessel, Sandhayak. The primary purpose of the ship is to conduct comprehensive coastal and deepwater Hydrographic Surveys for Port and Harbour approaches, as well as determining navigational channels and routes.

5. India is set to enhance its meteorological monitoring capabilities with the launch of INSAT-3DS by using GSLV-F14 rocket. The satellite is designed for enhanced meteorological observations and monitoring of land and ocean surfaces for weather forecasting and disaster warning.

6. 60 Parachute Field Hospital of Uttar Pradesh has been selected for the Subhash Chandra Bose Disaster Management Award-2024. This award is given by the Central Government for outstanding work in disaster management.

7. The US government has approved a major military sale to India valued at nearly $4 billion. The sale would include 31 MQ-9B Sky Guardian drones and related sophisticated equipment.
